Topps Chrome BuyBack Programs Explained: What Collectors Need to Know

Topps Chrome BuyBack programs continue to be one of the hottest topics in The Hobby right now. From NFL and WWE to upcoming NBA, UFC, and soccer BuyBacks, collectors have even more reasons to rip Topps Chrome products and keep an eye on the cards they pull.

At Magic City Collectibles, we’ve been getting tons of questions about which cards qualify, what products they come from, how much store credit they’re worth, and when the programs end — so here’s a quick breakdown of the current and upcoming Topps Chrome BuyBack programs collectors should know about.

Current Topps Chrome BuyBacks (Updated 8/11/26)

Right now, there are two active BuyBack programs:

  • NBA MVP: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander cards from 2025/26 NBA Chrome (ends September 1)
  • Golden Boot: Erling Haaland cards from 2026 Premier League Chrome (ends September 1)
  • UFC Main Event: Justin Gaethje cards from 2026 UFC Chrome (ends September 1)

Collectors can pull eligible BuyBack cards from ANY box format of the corresponding product, including hobby boxes, jumbo boxes, blasters, mega boxes, delight boxes, retail products, and more.

If you’ve been ripping Topps Chrome lately, now is definitely the time to start sorting through your cards and setting key names aside.

How BuyBack Store Credit Works

Collectors can bring eligible BuyBack cards into Magic City Collectibles for SAME-DAY store credit with NO LIMIT on how many cards can be redeemed.

Current BuyBack values:

  • Base Chrome Cards = $20 Store Credit
  • Refractors = $40 Store Credit
  • Numbered Cards /100 or higher = $100 Store Credit
  • Numbered Cards under /100 = $200 Store Credit

One of the coolest parts of the program is that collectors can use their store credit toward even more Topps Chrome products, sports cards, Pokémon cards, singles, sealed wax, and more.

Topps Chrome BuyBack programs have added another level of excitement to sports card collecting, and with more BuyBacks expected throughout the year, collectors are paying closer attention to every box they open. Whether you’re ripping hobby boxes, retail products, or chasing big parallels and refractors, there’s always a chance your next pull could turn into hobby credit.

If you have eligible BuyBack cards, bring them to Magic City Collectibles in Homewood, Alabama and we’ll get you taken care of! 🔥
