Know Before You Go: Fanatics Fest NYC 2026

As returning vendors at Fanatics Fest NYC, the Magic City Collectibles team has learned a few things that can make your weekend even better. Whether it's your first time attending or you're heading back for another year, these simple tips will help you make the most of your Fanatics Fest experience.

Check Out a Few of Last Year's Highlights!

Download the Fanatics App Before You Arrive

Your Fanatics Fest experience starts before you even step inside the Javits Center. Once the Fanatics Fest Fan Hub opens, you'll use the Fanatics App to access your event tickets, daily schedule, personalized itinerary, event updates, and more. Download it ahead of time, log in, and make sure everything is ready before travel day.

Reserve Photo Ops & Autographs Early

Meeting your favorite athletes and celebrities is one of the biggest draws of Fanatics Fest—but those sessions can sell out quickly. Browse the talent lineup and reserve your autograph and photo opportunities in advance through the Fanatics Fest website. Remember that these experiences are purchased separately from your admission ticket.

Build Your Game Plan

There is so much happening throughout Fanatics Fest that it's impossible to see everything. Before each day, take a few minutes to review:

  • Panel schedules
  • Live programming
  • Exclusive drops
  • Athlete appearances
  • Autograph and photo op times
  • Vendors you want to visit

Having a rough itinerary will help you maximize your time instead of deciding where to go on the fly.

Wear Comfortable Shoes

This one can't be overstated. Fanatics Fest takes over an enormous footprint inside the Javits Center, and you'll likely spend the entire day walking between booths, stages, dealers, activations, and autograph sessions. Comfortable walking shoes are easily one of the best things you can pack.

Arrive Earlier Than You Think

Even if you have scheduled autograph sessions or panels, give yourself extra time to get through security, find your way around, and account for crowds. For autograph sessions in particular, Fanatics recommends arriving closer to the beginning of your scheduled signing window.

Bring Items You Want Signed

If you've purchased an autograph session, don't forget the collectible you want signed. Fanatics allows fans to bring one personal item per autograph ticket, though memorabilia is also available for purchase at the event.

Set a Budget

Between exclusive merchandise, hobby dealers, wax boxes, singles, giveaways, and surprise finds, it's easy to spend more than planned. Decide on a budget before you arrive so you can prioritize the items you're most excited about.

Keep Your Phone Charged

You'll be using your phone throughout the day for tickets, schedules, photos, videos, maps, and staying in touch with friends. You would hate for your phone to die in the middle of a FaceTime while showing your friend a sick card or even videoing a live podcast! Consider bringing a portable battery pack—you'll thank yourself by the afternoon.

Leave Room in Your Bag

Whether you're buying sealed product, picking up singles, grabbing exclusive merchandise, or collecting freebies, you'll likely leave with more than you came with. A comfortable backpack with a little extra space goes a long way. AND a clear bag will get your through security quicker!

Stay Flexible

Some of the best Fanatics Fest moments aren't on your itinerary. Surprise athlete appearances, spontaneous giveaways, and exciting moments happen throughout the weekend. Build a plan—but don't be afraid to change it if an unexpected opportunity pops up!

Stop by the Magic City Collectibles Booth!

Whether you're looking for sports cards, Pokémon, exclusive inventory, or just want to say hello, make sure to add the Magic City Collectibles booth #2636 to your game plan. We'll have fresh inventory, great deals, and plenty of cards you won't want to miss throughout the weekend.
